Responding to Domestic Violence


This programme is designed to equip practitioners with a thorough understanding of domestic violence, covering both victims and perpetrators.  The following topics are covered:

  • What is domestic violence?
  • Applicable legislation
  • Protection orders
  • Working with victims
  • Community education and awareness to address the prevalence of domestic violence.

The programme is suitable for social workers, lay counsellors, law enforcement, and community safety members.  The programme makes extensive use of real-life case studies to consolidate learning and provide opportunities to apply learning to real-world contexts.

This programme is not accredited with the SACSSP for CPD points.
